Carol, the only teacher of the WunderKeys Piano for Preschoolers (Age 3-5) in Hobart and the recipient of “Teacher’s Award”, has been thriving at cultivating a population of music lovers for the last nineteen years. Besides teaching music to major students of the Hong Kong International Institute of Music and being a lecturer of the Hong Kong Design Institute, Carol has performed in a number of performances in the United States and Europe as well as directed more than a hundred music performances.

As a performer, Carol was the principal horn of the Baptist Symphony Orchestra. She regularly appears as guest artist in many other music events and organizations including the Symphonic Wind Band of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, The China Symphony Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of the Hong Kong Medical Association and the New Philharmonic Orchestra. Carol is also one of the founders of the Harmonious Horn Quartet, which was established in April 2000 and had its debut performance at the Baptist University. She was the hornist of the Brass Age Quintet, the Creative Brass Quintet, the Baptist Brass Quintet, the Baptist Woodwind Quintet and the Baptist Horn Ensemble.

Besides engaging in performances, Carol actively promotes the development of music education. In addition to performing on campus, Carol launched music workshops and students’ recitals including The Nutcracker: A Classic Fairy Tale for Two Centuries, When the Children Meets Music, Canadian Brass Workshop and Young Musicians’ Recital. Deeply influenced by her music teachers, Carol majored in performance and pedagogy for her honour degree in music and, child and adolescent development for her Master of Education.
