Has got to be one of the best all time fun instruments. Easier to play than guitar, more portable, and comes in four different sizes for every size finger.


The 3 most played sizes are Soprano, Concert, and Tenor

SOPRANO
Good for younger beginners and adults with very small, slim fingers. Some chords can be a little difficult to play due to the small fret size of the soprano.

CONCERT
I'd recommend the Concert size for most new players. It still sounds like a Uke, but with a little more body to the sound, and a bit more finger room than the Soprano.
A beginner concert size uke can be had for as little as $80-120

TENOR
Is better if you have sausage fingers.
I would recommend this as a first instrument for adult male players.
It has a bigger fuller sound, somewhere between a ukulele and a 3/4 size classical guitar.

I tend to specialise in mature age adults.

NEVER TOO OLD
I teach a lot of adults who have found it’s far easier than they thought using my methods.

But lot of adults suffer from the “I’m too old” syndrome….I’m here to tell you that adults make the great students. They’re more focused than kids, and understand that if you put in a bit of work you will be rewarded.

They do have a few slight physical problems because of years of work injuries, RSIs, and old sporting injuries.

I take it slowly, and at a pace your hand feels comfortable with. 

** DEDICATED STUDENTS WHO WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY AT SOME LEVEL.

The emphasis here is to help you develop Rhythm Guitar skills in a wide variety of styles.

This makes you useful in the real world...not just in your bedroom.

I also work with students to develop their Lead Guitar playing so that they have the ability to create different solos depending on style and chord progression......rather than just play the same tired old licks for every solo.
