#Wunderkeys TM Piano for Preschoolers (Age 3-5): A head start in music, math, and life
An encouraging first experience in music lessons is critical to your child’s enjoyment of the piano. The WunderKeys Program has been designed to be that and more! WunderKeys lessons are tailored to meet the needs of preschool-aged children and to ensure that their first music lesson experience is positive and enjoyable.

Designed as an all-encompassing piano lesson, students participate in five different unique activities during their lesson time, ensuring they remain focused, engaged and happy. Your child will develop piano and music skills that will allow for a smooth transition into mainstream piano method books. Beginners in this program start with no prior piano or music experience and finish with solid keyboard awareness, an understanding of rhythmic notation, and the ability to play simple pieces with both hands.

In addition, through this program, your child will get a head start on the math concepts they will be learning in Kindergarten. WunderKeys students finish the program with a solid understanding of patterning, sorting, grouping, classification, counting, number recognition, “more than/less than”, one-to-one correspondence and more. Not only will they be familiar with these important mathematical concepts, but their first experience with math will be one that is both enjoyable and approachable, in which they were made to feel successful.

Piano Lessons Each lesson is tailored to my students' individual needs. For children, I usually only provide half hour lessons, unless a full hour is preferred. I monitor how long my students can cope for - music is meant to be fun. I ask parents to buy their own books at their own cost - everybody has a different learning style. I can recommend good books that I use. Books provide the backbone of learning in my lessons. In addition to the books, I create my own visual resources and activities, or use other teachers' resources - just to add some fun. These additional resources are covered under the cost of my tuition fees. Visual resources include personalised activities and games related to music theory, as well as any particular pieces my students would like to learn to play. Also covered under my tuition fees is a folder or scrapbook for my students to keep all their resources and special pieces safe. I have been teaching students for some time - my students all say my lessons are fun and easy to remember. As with my own piano playing, I teach students to break down their practice into chunks - perhaps playing tricky parts single-handedly or concentrating on small, tricky parts until mastered.

Piano Lessons Hey there! Can I make a CRAZY CLAIM that you can hold me to? And If it doesn't hold true, I'll QUIT TEACHING here. Woah. Really. See, I'm betting that no matter what you want from this incredible instrument, I've either done it myself or helped someone else do it through insight (and contacts) you'd only get from a current industry pro, taught in a way you'd only get from a fully qualified educator. So here's my CRAZY CLAIM that I'll quit over:

I know how to achieve all your piano goals. No matter what they are.
(Look, within reason, I can't help you play on Mars. The Opera House though...)

Whether you're trying to WOW Booking Agents (I might know them), Record Labels (I might have produced for them), Fans and Audiences (I can get you those), Examiners and Auditioners (might have been me) Friends and Family (I hope to be one!) or even just YOURSELF...

If you do everything I say, and you DON'T ace your audition, demo, exam, performance, the pieces of your dreams... I WILL straight up quit teaching here. That's how confident I am, not just in me, but in YOU! That's my crazy claim. Many have put it to the test, none have failed.

And if you DON'T do everything I say... well, nothing really. We still have a great time.
I get that life is crazy, you're paying me, I work for you, I'm not your boss. I won't get impatient if you can't practise as much as we'd like. Or even at all. I'VE BEEN THERE. Oh hang on...

Yeah, technique is important, and boy am I fascinated by the fine biomechanics of piano playing. Musicianship is important, and I'm more than happy to wax lyrical of its intricacies. But at the heart of the psychology behind successful musicians- INTEREST is KING, and I aim to be king of developing and maintaining interest. And that's why I GUARANTEE that:

-If it's not what you want to learn, we don't do it.
-If it's boring, and you want to stop doing it, say the word and we do something else. Immediately.
-You want to learn a specific piece/song, we learn it...

Too difficult? No such thing, we do what it takes to get you there fast.
Sheet music doesn't exist? It does now, I'll transcribe and arrange it for you.
Don't like sheet music? No problem. We learn by ear.
Can't learn things by ear? Not true. You haven't had the right teacher.
