I’m Nick, a Melbourne-based guitarist, teacher and producer with over 25 years of playing, performing and recording experience. I’m a third-generation guitarist, and music has been part of my life from a very young age.

Over the years I’ve developed my style through blues, classic rock and modern production, with a strong focus on feel, tone and musical expression.

As a teacher, I specialise in working with adult beginners and returning players. Many of my students come to me feeling stuck, overwhelmed by YouTube, or unsure where to start. My approach is to simplify the process and give you a clear, structured path forward so you can actually see and feel progress in your playing.

My teaching is built around what I call the “triangle of musicianship”: rhythm, melody and harmony. Rather than jumping from song to song or chasing random techniques, we focus on building a solid foundation especially in rhythm and timing, so everything else starts to click into place. This helps students not just play guitar, but sound musical and confident.

Lessons are relaxed, supportive and tailored to you as an individual. Whether you want to play for your own enjoyment, improve your skills, or finally break through a plateau, I aim to create an environment where you feel comfortable, motivated and making real progress each week.

Outside of teaching, I continue to write, record and release my own music, so I bring a real-world perspective into lessons. For me, teaching isn’t just about passing on information, it’s about helping you reconnect with music and enjoy the process of becoming a better player.
