Violin Lessons
I use the Suzuki Method to teach the violin and viola. The Suzuki Method is based on love and small steps ensuring that every student can succeed and that the teaching space is a safe space for all students. Using the philosophy that every child can learn, the Suzuki repertoire ensures excellent technical foundations and beautiful sound production. My focus is on creating a warm relationship between me and my students and making sure that the students feel agency in their learning.

Hi, my name is Claire and I am a certified Suzuki teacher teaching all ages from 3-93. I have over 10 years of teaching experience. I have an arts degree plus a Graduate Diploma in Performance, I have my Suzuki Primary Teaching Accreditation and am currently working towards my Intermediate accreditation. I love teaching the violin and viola. While I use the Suzuki repertoire and philosophy to create a foundation in technique, posture and outlook, I also focus on sight reading, tone production, musical expression and making sure that the student feels agency in their learning - a holistic approach. I particularly love working with very young children and adults but all ages are welcome. Come along and observe a lesson and see if you think we will make a good fit.
