Piano Lessons
The Fundamentals: Finger Control, Technique, Reading Notes for Smooth and Fast Playing
Quality Practice: How, when, where, and why you need it
Musicality: Phrasing, rubato, balance, feeling the music and more
No stone is left unturned. Each in-person piano lesson aims to provide as much value as possible and answer all your questions to leave you prepared to work on your progress.
Across my students’ learning journey, they become holistic players who perform well in AMEB exams and understand music theory and jazz concepts. Students are prepared to play with other musicians in groups and big bands, improvisation.
I believe in a holistic approach of developing relationships with students to mentor them for life, developing their self-discipline and individual thinking to help them navigate their world beyond music.

I usually stay longer than 1 hour yet charge only the hourly rate.
I happen to stay longer because:
1. I care greatly about the student’s progress and want to leave on a good note
2. I’m a passionate teacher; I got it from my music teacher grandfather, who married a gymnastics teacher!
3. I don’t have many students because I’m selective, therefore do not run on a tight schedule
Here is a simple list of things that differentiate me from others:
Streamlined teaching with practice techniques for fast progress
-An enormous source of motivation and drive in my own life
-A young tutor effortlessly connects with children and young adults
-A degree in Psychology and Neuroscience to inform teaching, understand students’ struggles and improve communication and connection
-I was taught and mentored by Melinda Atkins since high school, teacher of world-renowned saxophonist Amy Dickson
-I often go overtime because I care about the student’s progress and don’t run on a tight schedule
My grandfather was the head music teacher at a school in Serbia; it’s in the genes
During my pursuit of the AMusA, I had the privilege of learning from top saxophonist educators, including Melinda Atkins, who taught world-renowned saxophonist Amy Dickson.
With a degree in Psychology and Neuroscience, I rely on a deep understanding of how the brain works, including maximising mind-muscle connection to help students fix their mistakes and retain concepts in their minds.
With over 10 years of private tutoring experience, I am passionate about guiding students on their musical journey. My approach is focused on helping students feel and deeply understand music, and instilling general work ethic for life.
Flexible and Convenient: I’m flexible with both availability and location—if it’s easier, I’m more than happy to come to your home for lessons!
