Fiddle Lessons
Individual lessons are a great way to start violin/viola or get back into it. I tailor lessons to the student so they enjoy what they are learning and develop a positive outlook on music. Having a personalized lesson helps students realize that music isn't all hard work, and can be extremely fun!
I also offer paired lessons which are structured similarly to the individual lessons. Paired lessons offer a cost effective way for two individuals of similar level to advance their musical abilities. However the progress is slower in paired lessons and I will decide if I think a certain pair is a good fit or not.
I have taken paired lessons with different students at the same level, siblings or a parent learning with their child.
When teaching, I have a strong focus on technique, (the way you hold the instrument and the basics of putting each finger down on the violin/viola). Having good technique is a fundamental skill and having lessons with me is a great opportunity to enrich your understanding.
Aside from technique, I have a deep understanding of musical theory and am experienced in passing this knowledge on to students.
I love teaching, I find it extremely rewarding teaching the students aspects I wish I had been taught at a earlier stage. Music is a wonderful part of life and having music in yours enriches it.
With the experience I've gained at the Conservatorium, a natural affinity and deep love for music, has contributed to me being a natural, strong, inspiring teacher.

I'm Nicola and my passion in life is music! I have been playing classical violin since I was five years old. I completed my Bachelor of Classic Performance at the Adelaide Elder Conservatorium in 2020. I have had my own challenges and journey with violin and have stuck with it and learnt many skills I wish to pass on. I have been teaching violin for 5+ years and find it very enriching. I love showing students how to express themselves creatively. I strive to make music enjoyable, educational, and enriching for every one of my students.
