Hi!
My names is James and I teach bass guitar/double bass!
My career as professional musician has directly informed the way in which I teach my current and past students. Working in the music industry full time has given me a strong perspective on what people need in relation to their musical growth. I currently have just finished my bachelor of music (jazz performance) and I am excited to share this knowledge and study with my students!
My experience in OOSH has given me a structured way over teaching K-6 students, I’m very accommodating of all children’s personalities and quirks!
My personal approach to lessons varies depending on what the students needs. For younger students I try to keep them engaged by letting them explore the instrument and create a fun environment! For older/more serious students I can offer a more pragmatic program for the terms and provide structured weekly lessons.
