Recorder Lessons
My teaching style is very much customized to the age and level of the student. For example, in the case of children who are beginners, I will be quite directive, giving them clear instructions and tasks of what they are to do and how to do it. For older students, I will encourage a more individualized and exploratory style. I don't want my students to be clones of myself - I want them to develop their own musicality and style of playing!
Students can work towards exams (AMEB, ABRSM etc) or study just for fun. As well as the usual repertoire I can also help students work on their band/orchestra/ensemble music.

I am a professional musician, having completed my undergraduate music degree at the University of Western Australia and my postgraduate degrees in Europe. My performing and teaching career to date spans 3 continents over nearly 30 years, as an orchestral and chamber musician, ensemble coach and music teacher.
I moved to Siem Reap, Cambodia in 2018 to share my expertise as a professional musician and music teacher and am the owner and director of a music school here.
As well as having the privilege of teaching hundreds of students in the usual "face to face" way throughout my career, I am extremely experienced with teaching from an online platform, having taught approximately 5000 online lessons in the past few years!
