Teaches students aged 5+
I have nearly 30 year's experience in playing the flute and started teaching almost 20 years ago. I completed my UK grades (AMEB equivalents) to Grade 8 by the age of 13 and have played solo, in duets, wind bands and orchestras throughout my life and have toured internationally as a principle flautist with ensembles including the LSO and Symphonic Wind Band.
I am experienced in teaching various styles and to all levels from absolute beginner through to advanced. I teach exam preparation in both theory and practical.
My approach to lessons is that they should be enjoyable. I take into account my students' taste in music, and try to keep them entertained, challenged and hitting goals. Whether your goals are to complete your grades, play in an ensemble, play for fun or learn to play to a professional standard, my lessons will be adapted to suit!
