Profile:
* Creative saxophone and flute teacher for all ages of beginner and intermediate levels.
* Exploring teaching and learning for students with learning difficulties. Patient and empathetic, realistic goals are easily achievable producing positive outcomes.
* Coaching also available in music theory & history, performance skills, music business, critical reading & writing for tertiary studies.
Experience Private Studio Teacher 2014 to present.
* Supporting year 4 - 6 students participating in local school band programs. Reinforcing band leaders’ instructions, ideas and concepts including group participation.
* Emphasis on developing creativity while exploring melody, scales, rhythm and basic chord concepts.
* Encouraging focus and good practice regime to develop sight reading, timing and tone as well as developing air stream control and articulation.
* Care and maintenance of instrument.
* Lessons for adults follow a similar structure incorporating ear training, form & structure, improvisational concepts with additional coaching as is relevant to their personal goals and preference of musical genres.
* Much FUN !
* Currently achieving much success over three years with a visually impaired adult student.
