Guitar Lessons Hello I’m Matt, a patient, relaxed and friendly Online Guitar Tutor.

I’ve been playing guitar for 22 years and I’ve been teaching for over 5 years. I teach all ages and levels from complete beginner to advanced. I play a broad range of styles from classical, to acoustic finger style, to electric guitar. I recently moved from London to Australia. In the UK I taught over 1300 lessons, with a 5 star rating.

I like to start by getting an idea of what type of style/bands/artists you like so I can tailor the lessons to suit you.

For beginners I like to cover reading guitar tab, learning chords, scales, note length and values, practising rhythm and playing with a metronome, slides, bends, hammer ons and pull offs.

I provide notated guitar tab/sheet music for us to learn from and I email that after the lesson so you can go over and practise what we covered during the lesson.

Once we have covered the basics I always ask you to recommend a song that you would love to play! I’ve found you're more likely to practise and have fun if you learn a song you love. If the song is a bit too tricky I can create a slightly easier version of it for you.

Guitar Lessons I have been a professional and touring guitarist for over 6 years and have played the instrument for coming on 20 years. I specialise in rhtythm/accompaniment based guitar playing, however I have a very firm understanding of the fundamentals of lead guitar and improvisation.
