Classical Piano Lessons
Students can expect personalised, engaging piano lessons designed to build strong technique, musical confidence, and a genuine love for playing. I tailor each session to the learner whether you're a young beginner, working toward exams, or playing for enjoyment ensuring clear progression and achievable goals. Lessons typically include a blend of technique, repertoire, sight-reading, theory, and creative exploration, with a focus on developing both skill and musical expression. I teach a range of styles from classical to contemporary, and I’m experienced working with SEN learners and adapting lessons to individual needs.
With nearly a decade of teaching experience, a Grade 8 performance level, and a Master of Education, I bring a thoughtful, patient, and structured approach that supports learners of all ages and abilities. Students choose me for my warm teaching style, clear explanations, and the encouraging environment I create—where progress is celebrated

About Me
I am a passionate piano teacher with nearly a decade of teaching experience, having taught students of all ages—from young beginners as young as three to adult learners returning to music later in life. I have been teaching piano since 2016 and am a Grade 8 pianist. Beyond music, I hold a Master of Education and am also a qualified Science and Maths teacher, which strengthens my ability to structure engaging, differentiated lessons and support students with diverse learning needs. I have extensive experience working with SEN learners and approach all teaching with patience, empathy, and respect for individual learning styles.
My Teaching Approach
My lessons are student-centred and nurturing, with a strong emphasis on confidence-building, musical expression, and fostering a lifelong love for music. I believe that learning should be joyful and goal-oriented, whether a student is preparing for exams, improving technique, exploring classical repertoire, or simply playing for personal enjoyment. I tailor each lesson to the individual and I draw from my education background to break concepts down clearly, scaffold skills, and create achievable progress. One of my favourite parts of teaching is witnessing those "aha!" moments when a concept clicks and a student realises how much they’ve grown.
What I Value
Music education is about more than hitting the right notes; it develops persistence, creativity, confidence, and self-expression. I strive to create a warm, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable to make mistakes, ask questions, and challenge themselves. I take pride in building positive, authentic relationships with my students and supporting them not only as musicians, but as learners and individuals. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced player looking to refine your skills, I would love to support you on your musical journey.
