Cello Lessons
I teach cello using multiple methods - Suzuki method and AMEB. If you are unsure which to choose or are looking to learn cello generally, we can discuss what options are best for you and create your learning program.
My approach is instructive and encouraging. Lessons are highly personalised. At the beginning of our cello journey, we discuss your learning goals and desired pace.
First, we would begin with scales and warmups. Then, the student plays the pieces they practised. We then identify areas to improve and demonstrate ways to work on this.
Please reach out if you have any questions about lessons!

Teaches students aged 6 to 12
Hello! I’m Kaitlyn. I am a cello tutor who teaches Suzuki method and AMEB. I teach children who are beginners to the intermediate level (Grade 7).
I hold an AMusA diploma and am deeply passionate about music.
Growing up with the Suzuki method, I believe that children can learn music at a young age and flourish through encouragement and guidance. I am a Year 11 student studying music and have been playing for eleven years, with experience in AMEB, Suzuki, and musicianship.
I also offer to be a practice buddy. If your child has trouble with structured practice sessions, or is not making progress, I can work with your child on making practice productive and more enjoyable.
If your child is starting to learn cello, or if you don't know where to start, please feel free to send me a message!
