I am a current student at UQ, studying trumpet performance and psychology. I place great importance on teaching students well, but also allowing my students to help me tailor lessons to them.

I have played with many different ensembles in varied styles, including UQ Symphony Orchestra, UQ Big Band, QYO Big Band and the Australian Army Band. I am also a conductor and composer, having won two awards from the ASME-QLD.

The key distinguishing factor that sets me apart from other trumpet teachers is studying psychology and having up to date scientifically-informed knowledge of how students learn and how best to teach them. I can also direct students to resources to assist with performance anxiety so that students can focus on making music.

I am also a multi-instrumentalist, with experience playing trombone, saxophone, flute, piano, violin and viola. As a result, I am intimately familiar with navigating issues that may be caused by instrumental doubling.
