Classical Piano Lessons
To start your music journey, you will learn where the notes are, how to hold your hands, counting length of notes and more. After the first month or two, I would love you to learn a little about a composer you admire and love.
As you progress, if there is a particular piece you would aspire to play, we could include it in your goal, whether it is just learning the melody line.
There will be lots to learn first though.
Scales you will learn after Grade 1 or after 1 year but if you would like to learn one or two to get you ready, we can include this too. I like to make scales fun, so I add variations to make them more interesting.
If you already have some knowledge, great we can over what you know and keep learning.
Each week I will take note of what needs to be practiced and remembered and type it up for you, so you won't have to try and remember what you learnt, you can always refer back.

Hello, my name is Allison.
I am truly grateful for my dedication and love for music, piano in particular. I began when I was five years old and
went through all my grades to Grade 8. My dream was to continue and be a concert pianist but life took me to my other creative path of art/drawing.
Although at one stage I sold my old pianola when I was working full-time and I didn't play for 15 years until I mentioned it
to a friend who said she knew of someone moving and had to find a home for their piano. I practiced and practiced my old grade 7 & 8 pieces and since have taught myself new beautiful pieces. This has led me to be asked to play piano/organ
each week at church learning new hymns and playing with a choir in front of a congregation of nearly 500 people.
When I say you will be forever grateful, I cannot put into words the fulfillment of learning a new piece, giving it the expression to come alive and to feel proud of what I have accomplished.
This is what I would like to pass on to you. It will take dedication and time and effort, but the rewards are there for the rest of your life.
