Piano Lessons
I implement flexible and different teaching approaches for different goals.
For casual learning, students can expect to learn to read notes, understand chords and be able to play a range of pieces. Aural skills and sight-reading skills may be included in the lesson. Works from the Baroque period to modern pop songs can be taught to maximise the student's interest.
For students who would like to achieve success in AMEB exams, technical skills such as scales, arpeggios and exercises can be expected to learn. The phrasing, shaping and the ability to reflect musicality will also be taught for pieces within the syllabus. Aural skills and sight-reading skills will be included in the lesson.
After commencing piano lessons with me, my students have had noticeably improved technical skills with stronger sense of rhythm.
