I was born in Rockdale, Sydney, Australia in 1962. I have been studying and playing music since 1975. My instrument of choice is the guitar, and I enjoy playing both acoustic and electric. With over 10 years’ experience as a guitar teacher, I am devoted to helping others to learn to understand the principles and traditions of music in our Western culture, and to help see others enjoy music at a deep and satisfying level. I love to try and make things simple, to give context and 'big picture' ideas. In 2018 I spent a year researching and writing a book called 'Understanding Chord Names – A Comprehensive Guide' as a tool to deepen the understanding of chord names within the musical community.
