Classical Piano Lessons
I focus on helping my students to gain a strong foundation in technical skills and theory. With this behind them they can start to learn for themselves. Outside this I also teach theory using simple games on the whiteboard keeping the material fun and the student involved.
I teach from the Alfred books to start to help the student gain their beginning foundation. But also use my knowledge of repertoire to choose songs or pieces that the student is interested in as well as to expand their own repertoire.
For beginners I also aim to find fun ways for the student to be musically involved. At the end of lessons I often improvise with students or show them how to play along to a song they like. Or later teach them duets.

Teaches students aged 5+
I have been playing piano for over 15 years. Before that learning the clarinet. During my school years I was involved in both the School Concert Band and Orchestra. During my university studies I took lessons in improvisation and composition. Learning to accompany others in differing styles from modern experimental and Jazz. Working with Utopia Music in Narellan for the last six years I learnt to teach students of varying age.
I teach from a small home studio with an acoustic piano. I focus on teaching through a creative method adjusting my methods to each individual student. Making sure to keep the environment fun and calm. Making sure they learn what songs there interested in as well as gaining a foundation in other styles from classical to jazz to modern.
