My name is Alvin and I teach all the steelpan instruments. I came to Australia with the Amral's Trinidad Cavaliers Steelband. This was the very first Steelband to come to the land Downunder. I have performed at the Sydney Opera House and many other venues around Australia plus other countries such as the USA, Canada, Singapore and New Zealand to name a few.

I have Introduced many Primary and high school students to the steelpan or steeldrum instruments as it is sometimes called. Through the Queensland Arts Council my show "Banana Joe" played at over 1000 schools in QLD alone.

I still do public performances, workshops, Lectures/Demonstrations, Steelband Clinics and have created the "PanAble Orchestra" a Steelband that also caters for persons with a disability. I have a very fun but serious approach to teaching.
