Drums Lessons - I am a highly proficient musician who is comfortable teaching all the facets of both production and music theory. I have released music, played instruments for almost 13 years, and have completed an advanced music course to a high level.

Drums Lessons - The study of drum-kit revolves around the snare drum as the foundation instrument and expands to include the whole drum-kit. The fundamentals covered include drum rudiments, reading, kit rhythms and fills. There will be recommended books as needed and an emphasis on playing to recorded music and developing ones own style.

I often structure according to student ability, meaning I like to go at a pace comfortable for the student, so they can feel a sense of progression and pride within their accomplishments, as that's what matters after all. Depending on your skill level, I will adapt, and I ultimately want to teach you what YOU want to learn.

Drums Lessons - Learning drums involves a long process of slowly learning more and more complex rhythms and techniques, all while gradually perfecting your overall rhythm. A beginner's lesson will start with warmup techniques to loosen and stretch hands and wrists then rudimentary techniques and basic rhythms will be covered. This will involve slow, basic drum patterns often reinforced by a metronome to ensure the student stays on beat. Aside from this, it's then time to get a bit more funky and learn some basic drum beats e.g. a standard rock, jazz or hip hop beat that could be used when playing in a band. My lessons can be tailored to each student depending on current technical skill, and also learning outcomes e.g. if the student wants to learn how to play rock drums, then there's no use going through jazz rhythms.
