Musical Theatre Lessons

Levels Taught: Beginner, Intermediate

In a musical theatre class with Kalia, you can expect to learn a combination of singing, acting, and dancing skills.

You'll work on vocal techniques, such as projection, diction, and character interpretation. You'll also learn how to convey emotions through acting and develop stage presence.

In addition, you'll learn choreography and dance routines to enhance your performance. The class will focus on musical theatre repertoire, teaching you how to bring characters to life through song and dance.

Kalia is a Melbourne based vocalist and pianist well versed in the art of music education. She is a passionate and experienced music educator, specialising in contemporary and classical. She offers piano, singing, music theory and songwriting classes to students of all ages at her studio in Sydenham.

Kalia Is completing her Cert 3 & 4 in Music Performance and currently studying her Grade 7 ANZCA examination.

She was introduced to vocals and piano at the age of 5 and fell in love with them instantly. She has also begun composing her own music and wishes to introduce her students to the world of making music.

Kalia has guided her students into passing their examinations with an average score of 90%.
She has taught voice and piano lessons in group settings as well as individual classes in both private institutions and primary schools.

Kalia has been on performance tours to the Gold Coast and performed at the annual The Color Run event at Flemington Racecourse at just the age of 13. She has won multiple awards as well as competitions throughout the years as a musician.

As an entertainer, Kalia has performed at iconic Australian venues such as Movie World, Dream world, Cavill Avenue, The Australian Outback Spectacular and Gumbuya world.

She has prepared students for productions, performances and competitions all throughout Melbourne.
She continues to inspire her students to pursue their dreams and goals through an immense amount of encouragement and support.

Kalia truly believes that growing as a performer requires unwavering commitment, genuine passion and a deep love for music. She believes music is a way of expression and is all about authenticity.

When it comes to her lessons, she goes above and beyond by creating personalised learning plans that cater to each student's unique needs. She offers specialised guidance to help students enhance their skills, knowledge and musicality.

Kalia's teaching style strikes a perfect balance between being well structured and incredibly fun and engaging.
She is an open-minded educator who hopes to instil a genuine adoration for music.
