I teach beginning to intermediate pianists the craft of playing the piano, learning the basic principles of theory of music, sight-reading and basic improvisation.
Beginners follow the Alfred's Basic Piano library, along with supplementary songs and
material to assist their development, coupled with plenty of aural assignments.
I encourage students to follow their personal interests and to explore music styles different to their own tastes, so as to "broaden" their ears!.

Experienced teacher and performer, with a love of all types of music, especially Ragtime, Swing and Stride piano playing.
Enjoy passing on the skills I've learnt over many years and am still open to new horizons in music. Have been performing in Clubs/Pubs in Sydney and Illawarra areas, and also play regularly at my local Catholic Church with one of the choirs.
Love Bach, Beethoven, The Beatles. Chopin, Oscar Peterson, Fats Waller, Dave Grusin and Jacob Collier!
