Classical Piano Lessons

Levels Taught: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced

The main objective of the piano lessons is to develop my students as well-rounded musicians.

A variety of activities and exercises will be introduced in an interactive way during the lesson and the teaching period. It includes:
Piano performance
Aural training
Rhythm
Music theory
Sight-reading
Scales and arpeggios
Composing and Improvising
Playing from memory
Music history
Worksheets
Examinations
Term reports
Certificates
Each lesson is carefully planned and tailored to suit students' age and technical level.

Examinations will be arranged, and terms reports will be provided at the end of each school term.

A student concert is organised each year. It provides students with an opportunity to gain experience and confidence in performance. Students are encouraged to participate.

I have 20 years of piano performing experience. In addition, I have more than 10 years of teaching experience for children of all age groups as well as adults. Being awarded the certificate of piano performance from the Royal Schools of Music. Moreover, I have been appointed organist at St' Columba Church. Experience in teaching music in Evatt Primary School, Weetangera Primary School and Taylor Primary School in Canberra.

The piano lessons will cover sight-reading, rhythm, aural training, music theory, scales and repertoire study. All of them will be introduced in an interactive way. Fun as well as a good basis for all music learning. Preparation for ABRSM, AMEB and Trinity exams as well as Piano for Leisure.
