Drums Lessons

Levels Taught: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced

Toby hosts lessons from his in home studio in Caulfield South and teaches students with little or no musical or drummer experience, all the way to professional drummers and percussionists.

The studio houses two drum sets, eights conga drums, two sets of bongos, timbales, three cajon's, a set of bata drums and a four octave marimba as well as a huge range of 'small' percussion instruments such as shakers, bells and tambourines.

Classes last either half and hour, 45min or one hour. Classes can also be booked for multiple hours to cover a wide range of information.

Toby is a performer, educator and clinician from Melbourne Australia. A skilled Drummer, Percussionist & Singer; Toby has traveled the world and has been a highly regarded professional musician for over a decade. He studied classical, orchestral and contemporary music at Wesley College in his formative years and later at the Victorian College of the Arts to study jazz. Since leaving tertiary studies in 2008, he has performed throughout Australasia, North America, South America and throughout the Caribbean and has studies in Brazil, Cuba & the USA. He has also been involved in many high level stage productions, music & arts festivals, studio recordings and has recently returned to Melbourne after performing in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil during the 2016 Olympic Games and a month long study tour to Havana, Cuba and NYC, USA.
