Hi! I'm Daniella, and I would love to teach you or your kids how to sing.
I am a recent graduate of the Australian Institute of Music, where I studied a Diploma of Music in Music Theatre. That being said, my main area of instrument is the voice, with a specialisation in musical theatre singing. However, I also coach other genres such as contemporary and jazz.

Prior to studying music at AIM, I trained in Classical Piano Grade 4th AMEB, but I am mostly self taught til today. In high school, I received Band 6's for my Music and Drama Major Works.

In the last few years, I have been involved in a number of musicals and have performed in various concerts and events, such as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Miss Saigon with Packemin Productions (played at the Riverside Theatres). Performed as a Backing Vocalist for numerous Filipino artists, and recently performed at the Riverside Theatres Season 2019 Launch. At the moment, I am currently starring in Jesus Christ Superstar with Packemin Productions once again, understudying the role of Mary Magdalene.

When it comes to the art of singing, I believe that balancing, vocal technique, performance skills and musicality creates a well-rounded singer and/or performer. I have been trained by industry professionals at the Australian Institute of Music, and I have gained a ton of knowledge to pass on to my students.

Through my lessons, my students will learn the Alexander Technique, Vocal Technique, Confidence Building, Performance Skills and Musicality.

Alexander Technique - Proper posture, relaxation, losing bad habits and creating new habits, preventing injury.
Vocal Technique - Proper breathing, vocal warmups, proper technique to reach lower or higher notes without vocal strain, expanding your range, anatomy of the voice, diction and enunciation, vocal health.
Performance Skills - Dissecting and analysing the student's chosen song, helping them understand the story/lyrics, in order to perform the piece with truth and authenticity.
Confidence Building - Encouraging students to be their very best, that there isn't a right or wrong in singing, embracing your own voice, embracing your differences and owning who you are.
Musicality - Learning how to read and follow music, learning about dynamics, the voice as an instrument, playing with tone and texture.

The above is a breakdown of what I can offer to my students, and it suitable for all ages, skills, and voice type. I cater my lessons to each of my students' abilities for them to understand efficiently.

I would be honoured to help you kick off your singing career, whether you're starting out, a professional, or just want to get back into singing again! Please get in touch with me if you'd like a trial lesson and if you have any questions.

I hope to see you soon!
