For beginners, students will learn the parts of the flute and how to join them together. They’ll attempt to produce a sound with just the head joint. Once the sound is on its way, students will learn posture before learning how to play notes.
The music I will teach and demonstrate will be a range of styles or categories such as Classical, Nursery Rhymes, Christmas Carols, Disney, Contemporary etc.

I graduated at The University of Queensland in December 2019, holding a Bachelor of Music (Honours, majoring in composition. I started learning flute at the age of 9 and alto saxophone at 14, with a certificate of performance in flute and grade 5 in alto saxophone. I’m frankly a composer/songwriter with a passion in instrumental teaching and writing music from the heart.
I like to be motivating and inspirational to anybody who wishes to learn an instrument I know how to play fluently. Rewards are something I like to offer when a student practices consistently. I always want my students to enjoy their individual practice so they can get excited for their lessons. I’d like to help them play and perform music that they enjoy and love listening to in their spare time whether if that’s Classical, Baroque, Romantic, Contemporary etc.

My daughters lessons with Timothy have been fantastic. He has been great at explaining the theory to her and picked appropriate music that a nine year old can relate to. Would highly recommend him.
