My name is Harry and I am a passionate young musician teaching Cello, Piano and Music Theory. Whether you want to do AMEB exams or just learn music as a hobby, I will be able to adjust my lessons to your needs.
I am currently in high school and have completed AMEB exams in Grade 8 Piano, Grade 6 Cello and Grade 4 Music Theory. I also have abundant performance experience in both solos and ensembles, as I was part of an ensemble which placed ‘3rd’ in the ‘Small Ensemble’ section of the Monash Youth Music Festival and also performed in a string orchestra in the Summa Cum Laude Festival in Vienna. I have previously taught students from primary school to secondary school. Apart from musical experience, I am also fluent in English and Mandarin.
I’m easy to talk to and very positive. As I am still a student myself, I am more empathetic when a student struggles and can quickly find a solution to the issue.
For students looking to do practical exams or VCE, I try to ensure that a student establishes solid basics in technique and knowledge whilst playing with musicality and appropriate interpretation. However, I tend to take a more casual approach for students who only wish to pursue music as a hobby, focusing on their enjoyment above all else.
