Classical Piano Lessons

Levels Taught: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced

The structure of my lessons are tailored to suit individual needs, to best differentiate student needs and learning styles. The general structure involves: checking homework; assessing the student's difficulties; Scales; Pieces (songs); Sight reading; Aural Skills; assigning new weekly homework. Often students, especially children, require motivational assistance and so I have a rewards system in place, with age appropriate prizes and incentives.
I aim to prepare students for AMEB exams, but in the case that someone prefers to learn for leisure, I organise yearly concerts where students have the opportunity to showcase their hard work and observe other students' progress.
It has been necessary in all my roles to communicate with various people from customers to colleagues. I have worked with a variety of people from non- English speaking backgrounds.
I am an honest and reliable individual, who enjoys challenges both professionally and personally.
I am a very passionate piano teacher and hope to pass on my love for music.

I have 18 years experience in piano and 6 years experience in teaching piano.
I have graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Education.
I intend on teaching piano for the rest of my life and hope to pass on my love for music.

I prepare students for both AMEB exams and/or leisure.
I organise yearly concerts for students, to create more incentive and purpose for their studies.

The approach that I try to implement with my students is consistency, hard work and rewards. My teaching philosophies are aimed towards increasing each student potential and achievement at a pace comfortable for them. Each program is tailored to the individual in order to differentiate between different types of learners and styles.
