I will through many different ways to introduce the music knowledge, aural skills and playing method to my students, in order to make the lessons much more fun, but not boring. I hope they are more willing to come to the lesson rather than parents ask them to do so.
All of my students’ parents feel their kids have improved after learning with me. It is also the motivation to help me think more and be more creative to introduce new knowledge.
Teaching since March 2011
Teaches: Females aged 3 to 60
Growing up in Hong Kong, Jasmine began her music journey from the age of four and has already achieved a performance diploma (Licentiate of Trinity College London – LTCL) and a Grade 8 Music Theory (ABRSM) back in 2015 and 2014. She actively participated in many different competitions and performances during the time back in Hong Kong. After graduated with Bachelor of Music in the Hong Kong Baptist University, Jasmine chose to continue her studies with a Masters at Australia National University and specialized in classical piano performance under the teaching of Ms. Wendy Lorenz. Jasmine received scholarships for two consecutive years during her study because of her performance excellence among her cohort.
She has been teaching since the start of her music degree back in Hong Kong. Though she is just graduated with her Masters from ANU, this is already her seventh year providing individual lessons to students of all ages. Jasmine treats her teaching career as seriously as her performance career by tailor making teaching materials and creative activities for every different student. Focusing on nurturing interest in playing music, Jasmine will try everything to provide a fun and supportive environment that all students are able to love and enjoy the music during the lessons. Apart from teaching, she is also experienced in accompaniment especially for string instruments.
