Teaches students aged 5+
My name is Corey Skapin and I am an Adelaide based saxophonist. I studied a Bachelor of Music (Performance) at the Elder Conservatorium through Adelaide University and have been teaching since 2015. I have taught students aged 4 through to 65 on saxophone, clarinet, flute, piano and music theory.
My style of teaching is to ensure that my students receive the highest quality teaching right from the outset, thus helping them become the best musicians they possibly can be. This includes technical work on their instrument, assistance building fundamental skills such as their embouchure (how to hold your mouth while playing) and built in theory, to ensure that they understand what they are playing.
In addition to these skills, I also strive to be a fun and interactive teacher, allowing my students to have an open dialogue and to influence the direction of their lessons, thereby keeping them motivated and engaged.
