I am an optimistic, hard-working individual, with proven time-management and leadership skills developed from long term commitments to both study and music. I have a passion for teaching music and I have experience working with students at Newington College between Kindergarten and Year 12. I have a valid Working with Children Check and am available 24/7 via text or mail.
I aim to provide students with a balance of building fundamentals, while also facilitating any piece requests to make the learning process more enjoyable. Although I believe that students should learn music for enjoyment it is very important that they have a good understanding of basic techniques. I am looking for students who are willing to consistently work hard in order to achieve this.
I completed my Amus for violin in 2013, receiving a pass with distinction, the highest mark possible. I also have many years of playing in ensembles, including orchestras, string ensembles and chamber music, such as string trios and piano quartets. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Advance Science and Arts at UNSW, majoring in biotechnology, pharmacology and Japanese.
