I aim to build a strong foundation for my students to build upon. We will look at drum kit repertoire (grooves, songs, drum solos), coordination, improvisation, ear training, technique. These foundational skills will lead us to head in the direction that the students chooses, whether it be a genre, play style, sound, or song.Show More Show Less
Teaching since October 2016
Teaches students aged 5+
My name is Brendan Foster and I am currently in my second year studying at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. I major in Jazz performance on the vibraphone, however I am also an avid and active drum kit player as well.
I have been a keen musician since the age of five, and currently am a composer, performer and teacher. I have a passion for teaching and enjoy finding new challenges with each student and helping them achieve their goals.
I currently teach at home and am more than happy to teach any skill level, at any pace. I am free most afternoons and nights, as well as all day on the weekends (available afternoons may change depending on university timetables).
I do first lessons for free and do not mind you coming around for a lesson to see if you would like to continue or not! I look forward to meeting you all!
All the best,
