I structure my lessons around what each individual student wishes to learn. I spend time getting to know what your aims are before we begin so that I can tailor everything to ensure that my students finish each lesson feeling positive, like they have learnt something new, improved in their knowledge and ability, and also enjoyed themselves!
I teach theory and I believe scales and technique are extremely important! The theoretical components are taught in conjunction with other songs or fun things the student has requested to learn. That way lessons are never boring!

I am a working and touring musician, currently based in Brisbane, but often spending months at a time playing music and working around the world. Due to the nature of my travel based lifestyle, all my lessons will need to be online from early 2018.
I completed a Bachelor of Music (Jazz Guitar Specialisation) in 2012 and since then I have done a lot of travelling, playing music, and teaching as I go. I am currently recording my debut album and planning a tour of Europe.
I believe my job as a teacher is not to tell students what to think, but rather to encourage them to want to learn and seek out knowledge for themselves. I hope to support students by providing resources, knowledge, new ideas and skills to continually grow in their musical journey - no matter what that looks like!
Music should be fun and make you feel good, so that's what I aim for my lessons to be too!
